Saying Goodbye
Each piece of each day changed me
In a way I never thought possible
Each new experience developed my character even more
The same people that taught me to laugh
Lent their shoulders for me to cry
The same who taught me to love
Allowed me to hate
Now we've come to the end of the road...
The beginning of another...
And with tears in our eyes
We'll finally realize there's not a thing on earth
We can do about it...
Accepting reality without resenting it...
You have to go with your head held high
If you don't, you'll truly gain nothing
If you do, you'll gain more than
You'll ever be able to appreciate.
Just be sure to follow your dreams
Don't let anyone keep you from
Achieving what you know you can do
But just be sure to never forget
Where you came from.
Never forget your real friends.
Without them you wouldn't know
How to smile- or how to frown.
You wouldn't know how to care
Or how to let someone care about you
You wouldn't know how to deal with reality
Or how to dream.
In the end, they're the ones who got you where you are...
They're the ones that showed you life
They're the one's that truly matter the most.
Don't ever forget them...
